This is a great opportunity for COC members to help out with the 60th Edition of the city's premier cycling event.

The organizers (the great folks at Bow Cycle) have openings on Saturday August 5 (Road Race on Horse Creek Loop, Cochrane), and Sunday August 6 (Hill Climb at MacKay Road NW (Montgomery)), at feed stations, as course marshals, and various other duties.

To sign up, please contact Jessica: ( or 403-288-5422 ext 214. Once you have signed up as a volunteer for the event, please sign up here on the COC page so we know how many COC’ers are contributing.

I will be there both days but not sure which position yet. Anyone wanting to connect can text me at 403-918-2397.

And if you want to see some *really* exciting multi-lap road racing up close, you won't want to miss viewing the Monday Criterium Road Race. Free to watch any where along the 960 meter route (with 7 corners, and a chicane). There will be between 20 and 45 laps of this tight course with speeds reaching 70 km/h.

I am not organizing a carpool given the different hours of volunteer shifts. If anyone needs a ride, we can trade emails between each other and figure out. I can help coordinate that.
