DRIVERS…given preference…this event involves car shuttle.

Monday promises to be a very sunny/warm day, so come on out to Pocaterra Ridge. It's a very scenic ridge walk when traveling from south to north. But don't mistake this for an easy hike, there is elevation gain/loss(cumulative gain ~1051M), rocky footing and in many places no trail. There is a good chance of seeing Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep or Mountain Goats in this area. This is also grizzly country! There are 4 distinct peaks along the ridge, we will hit them all. The hike ends with a Steep descent and the need for a bit of bushwacking and a creek crossing.

I intend this hike to be one way(not going back), from the Highwood Pass parking area to Little Highwood Pass Day Use parking area so there will be a car shuttle(. For that reason PLEASE do not cancel at the last minute since it will affect our car shuttle.

Coordinators are volunteers and are NOT trained guides. All participants are responsible for their OWN safety and equipment. One should come prepared as if they were hiking by themselves.

Pls note that last minute cancellations create additional work for the co ordinators who are volunteering their time.
