PACE: Relaxed pace+++(If your pace is "Fast" OR "Rapid Ascent" kindly pls sign up for another event).+++ The pace will be Slower on steep sections, moderate otherwise. I like to stop and take photos and enjoy the scenery. We are out to enjoy the day. Hiking time may vary. Do not be in a rush to get back to Calgary.

Hiking boots required - Sorry NO runners/sandals or Jeans. thx

. From the Trans-Canada, the dark, timbered mass of Wind Ridge doesn’t look too interesting. On the other side of the mountain, though, hidden from views, grassy slopes provide a beautiful route to the summit with one easy rock band before we ascend Wind Ridge. The rock step looks intimidating but is said to be quite easy. (if some want to avoid this "hands on"apparently there is now a trail to the right that leads to a messy dirt rake that climbs steeply up through trees to the ridge. At one point you'll encounter a rock band) However the intent is to go up the easy rock wall After this, the rest of the way to the ridge top is quite easy. and you'll get awesome views.

Before signing up for this hike you need to be aware that this will be a day of steep hiking!

Coordinators are volunteers and are NOT trained guides. All participants are responsible for their OWN safety and equipment. One should come prepared as if they were hiking by themselves.

Pls note that last minute cancellations create additional work for the co ordinators who are volunteering their time.
