We'll spend the weekend camping, kayaking around Travers Reservoir at Little Bow Provincial Park. If we are lucky we might get a glimpse of the the Peregrine falcon, an Alberta Species At Risk, which has historically nested along the north shore of the western arm of Travers Reservoir. In spring and fall, watch for migrating birds in the cottonwoods along the reservoir. Lots of fish in the reservoir too.

We’ll head out Saturday, set up camp, paddle, have a pot luck dinner, be merry, sleep and go home the next day. We will be paddling for around 4 to 5 hours on the water on saturday and maybe 2-3 hours on sunday depending on how everyone feels.

This time of the year it is a first come first serve campsite. So in the morning we'll head early to Little Bow Provincial Park to grab a few spots preferably next to each other.
Each site is $33 per night for a powered site (preferred) and $26 for a non powered site. Maximum of 2 tents and 1 vehicle per site or 2 vehicles and 1 tent per site. Maximum of 6 people to a site. This time of the year we should be able to snag a few sites. Pay when you get there.

Light touring boats recommended. If you don't have a boat, you can rent boats at:
1. Aquabatics Rental
2. University of Calgary Rental
3. MEC Rental
