Hike Description
This event is all about embracing larch season and the colors. We will be taking our time through the Meadows and on the Ridge. Today's main destination is the southeastern section of Panorama Ridge. Our route today and destination will offer up front row seats to a prime time viewing of the larch presentation. The journey to the Ridge begins with ascending 6 kms through forest along switchbacks to Taylor Lake, which lies at the base of Mount Bell. We'll then make our way up to the larch filled Panorama Meadows that has Panorama Ridge as its backdrop. The route winds through the meadow leading to a trail that steeply ascends through the forest. Coming out of the forest, you emerge onto the open slope of the southeast end of Panorama Ridge. Somewhere along the Ridge will be our lunch spot which could be up to an hour so come prepared. We will continue hiking along the Ridge then descend a steep slope back down to the Meadows. We'll explore the Meadows making our way back to Taylor Lake.
