A full day out to Banff for a snow hike up the front end of Sulphur Mountain, once at the top we'll complete the hike by taking the boardwalk trail at the top to the Cosmic Ray Station National Historic Site (10 minutes one way). We'll have lunch at the gondola station, you can pack your own lunch or get one at the top to enjoy with the panoramic view. (NB: Expect tourist prices for the food but the food is much better after the reno). Going back down the mountain, in wintertime only, the gondola ride is free, we’ll ride that down and then enjoy a soothing soak in the Banff Upper Hot Springs (I hope it snows then! it's neat). To cap it all off, after the Hot Springs, we'll go into the Town of Banff, traipse a bit and then have dinner at a local restaurant to have our choice of yummy calories and have a small present exchange.

- Snowshoes are not expected to be needed but bring them just in case plans change
- Bring a small present to exchange, around $20-ish in value
