The trail to Baldy is a short, scenic climb through a rubble- strewn valley leading to fine views of the foothills at the pass. From the highway, you climb moderately through an aspen forest on an old road that becomes a dirt trail by the time you cross the creek bed. Follow rock cairns into the narrow valley where the massive slopes are covered with rock debris shattered by frost action.

We will not be going into any avalanche terrain.

++++Micro-spikes required - No spikes = no hike ++++

Please remember, it's a lot more of a workout to hike in snow than on dry terrain.
