Distance: 15km return
Elevation Gain: 600m

This hike's date is during Larch tree autumn-colour season.

Please note that this will be a slow to moderate paced hike when going up steep sections, over rocky terrain - and when the cameras come out :-)

Please note that this coordinator has not done the scree pass/cirque portion of this route but has GPS data, an InReach satellite communicator device.

Trail directions:
3.5km - Junction with trail #93 to Chester Lake.
3.9km - Bridge junction at Rummel Creek, then take unofficial "summer" route to lake.
5km - Rummel Lake.
7.5km - Pass two tarns, then almost barren Rummel Pass with views of Lost Lake. This will be our lunch and turnaround point for this trip.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take Highway # 1 west. Turn south on Highway 40 carry on until just before winter gate and turn right on to Kananaskis Lakes Road. Turn right again on to the gravel and sometimes dusty or muddy Smith-Dorrien Trail Road. Continue a few kilometers past or northwest of the Chester Lake and Burstall signs. Park on the east or right-hand side of the main wide gravel road, just opposite to the turn-off for Mount Engadine Lodge and Mount Shark.
