Note: While the social is not mandatory, if you are carpooling, your carpool driver gets to choose for the group whether to participate or not.

This event is recommended only for hikers that are very familiar with Prairie mtn in winter conditions. Everyone must be back at the carpool from within 2 hours of start (summit or not). Anyone slower may be asked to turn around before summit by the coordinator.

Note this hike is NOT suitable for beginners as we will hike at a brisk or fast pace and you will possibly be hiking on your own as the group may split depending on your individual pace. The event is geared towards personal best times so be prepared to hike up and down on your own in the event you do not find a compatible hiking partner.

BEARS ARE OUT. LAST WEEK I SAW PRINTS IN THE SNOW. PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE BEAR SPRAY.
