This event is recommended
only for hikers that are familiar with
Prairie mtn. You may
be hiking on your own depending on your pace.
We will not be stopping in Bragg creek for
refreshments. However after our return to the
car pool we may decide to stop somewhere close
by.
Come for an evening workout hiking up Prairie Mountain; the ultimate training grounds for staying in hiking condition! The event will go ahead if its raining but may be cancelled if there is likely to be lightning. An email will be sent by 2:00 pm on Tuesday if we have to cancel the event. You will be hiking at your own pace but will need to turn around and head back down regardless of your position after 90 minutes. That will allow you 60 minutes to come down from the turnaround point. We expect everyone to be down by 8:30 pm at the latest. Note this hike is NOT suitable for beginners as we will all be hiking at our own pace so be prepared to hike up and down on your own in the event you do not find a compatible hiking partner. People will begin their ascent at 6:00 pm sharp so please plan to be there at least 10 minutes beforehand. We will all meet at the trailhead/parking area as a group at the end of the hike before leaving. | |||||||
