Itinerary:
Hi everybody.

As you may have noticed, I have not been posting as many summer events this summer compared to past years. The reason is that I detached my left retina in June. As a result, I was told to severely restrict my physical activities until my eye healed. This is especially tragic as I was also on track to completing 1000 events with the COC and had as a personal goal to reach this during my Presidency.

Starting August 3 and continuing every Friday, I will be organizing a walk along the Bow River, starting at the Starbucks in Bridgeland. The pace will be moderate.
If you attend this event, you will not only be helping me reach my goal of 1,000 events, you will also enjoy beautiful views of the Calgary Inner City.

If you are new to the COC, this would be a great time to meet me and pepper me with quesions about the Club. (Don't bring any pepper though.)

If you are trying to get into shape or recovering from injury or illness, this would be the ideal starting point for starting your exercise plan.

If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer with the COC, this would be an ideal time to find out what’s involved. I have been volunteering for the club for over 10 years and it is, without a doubt, the most rewarding and life-changing decision I have ever made.

I am looking forward to meeting, walking and talking with all of you. I hope to see you soon!
