Bring Your Own Boat (BYOB) or Rent (see below for link to rental)

Spend a lovely evening on the water exploring the Glenmore Reservoir. Visit the shoreline or head to the Weaselhead area to observe wildlife. Generally have a nice evening out. We'll have the boats on the water at 6pm and be off the water by 8pm. Beginners are welcome. There is no formal lesson, but will be assisted and accompanied until comfortable. We usually have a apres social after the event, join us if you can. Indicate when you sign up if you're going. I am usually wearing a red cap.
Distance: Approx 8km round trip.
Arrive at the reservoir at 5:45 to get all set up so we can launch at 6pm.
NOTE: Participants are expected to attend a mandatory pre-float briefing prior to being on the reservoir.

RENTAL NOTE:
Aquabatics is usually at the reservoir on Wednesday night and you can rent a kayak from them and join the group. Check their website for the latest schedules. They will bring the boats and equipment out to the reservoir and you can just pick it up from there.

Here is what you need to do:
1. Go to the Aquabtics website at Aquabatics Rental - https://www.aquabaticscalgary.com/courses /WEKR, rent and prepay for a kayak for this evening.
2. Arrive at the reservoir at 5:45 to get all set up and join the BYOB group after that.
3. All rental payments, reservations and cancellations are between the participant and Aquabatics.
