Itinerary:

Important - READ:

This is an event for experienced hikers only. No beginners..

A resident grizzly apparently lives around this mountain, so we will stick together as a tight group. If you cannot stick with the group, do not sign up for this event. Distance: 8km (5.4km hike + 2.6km scramble)
Elevation Gain: 938m
Summit Elevation: 2,646m
Pace: moderate

Description:
Indefatigable is a relatively short trail that provides stunning views over both the Upper and Lower Kananaskis Lakes. WE MAY DRIFT OVER TO VISIT THE BEAUTIFUL VALLEY BELOW THE NORTH PEAK. WEATHER PERMITTING Gillean Daffern notes that if you can only do one hike in this area, this should be it. Expect snow on some parts of the trail.

Indefatigable Trail was decommissioned in 2006. It is now an unofficial trail (all signs and benches removed) and it is no longer promoted by park officials. Large white rocks and a grizzly warning sign still make the trailhead very obvious.

Mount Indefatigable's South summit is an easy scramble. A 'trail' goes almost to the ridge, and only the final 200m are slighly exposed. Be rewarded with stunning views: Upper Kananaskis Lake is presented with a backdrop of blue mountain shapes receding into the distance; a SW sun makes the lake glitter; see the icefields around Mt. Joffre; and pick out trails to Aster Lake, Three Isle Lake, and Invincible Lake.
