Itinerary:
There are two parts to this event. From 11:30 to 1:30 we will be walking in the East Village/St Patrick’s Island. From 1:30 to 4:00 we will be listening to a presentation on Calgary writers at the New Central Library.
Planned Itinerary:

Walk:
11:30 Meet in front of the Old Central Library 616 Macleod Tr SE by the City Hall CTrain station.
11:30 to 1:30 Walk through the East Village to St Patrick’s Island. Drop by the Christmas events being held from noon to 2:00 on the east side of St Patrick’s island. Leave approximately 1:00 to be at the New Central Library (two blocks from Old Central Library) around 1:30. This will be a slow paced walk of about 4 or 5 km.

Talk:
1:30 Arrive at the New Central Library to choose our seats. To guarantee your seat, please register with the library here.
2:00 to 4:00 Presentation of the newly released book Calgary through the Eyes of Writers with author Shaun Hunter. Shaun tours readers and urban explorers through a place that has captivated writers since 1792. She has selected excerpts from over 150 novels, stories, poems and essays that sing the city’s human and natural terrain, plumb its past, and question its prevailing mythologies.

Guests are welcome but may only join us if they have signed the waiver found here. Please choose child or non-member (adult) waiver as applicable.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Meet in front of the Old Central Library (can't wait inside as now closed) at 616 Macleod Tr SE at 11:30 AM. The CTrain stops here at the City Hall stations.
