Notes:

Winter Safety Considerations

This information entered by Raihan K on January Feb 4, 2018

Terrain Classification: Simple Class 1.
Back in ~2008-2009 Kananaskis Parks staff changed the winter trail (route) to avoid the avalanche area (one area where upon crossing creek there is exposure to slope avalanche).
The new winter trail is not an official snowshoe trail and is classified Simple Class 1. There may be snow shoe signs marking the trail, but uncertain.
Current Gemtrek map route shows the old route that goes into the avalanche area. The new winter trail requires a 90 degree left turn just before the creek.
Will stay on the new winter snowshoe trail and only up to the lake. Will not go beyond the lake nor to the far end of the lake.
Distance to lake is ~4.3kms
