IMPORTANT DETAILS:
We will be hiking at a generally MODERATE pace and a SLOW pace uphill.
You must be willing to stick together as a group. If you wish to hike at a fast pace, please do NOT sign up for this hike.
Come prepared for muddy sections on the trail.
Do not be in a rush to get back to Calgary. We will be out to enjoy the day and event duration/return to Calgary may vary.

These are multi-use trails in the West Bragg Creek area. You will find this hike surprisingly nice, with some great viewpoints toward snow-capped peaks of Rockies and walking gentle, forested ridges.
We will be hiking Ranger Summit / Strange Brew / Boundary Ridge loop with side trip to the first panoramic viewpoint on Ranger Summit.PACE: Please note that IF you have NOT hiked before or RECENTLY hiked with 200M+, this hike is not for you. This will not be a "very slow-paced hike". PACE: MODERATE pace on gentler grades and a SLOWER pace going up steeper terrain. If you're not sure about a hike, feel free to contact the coordinator and remember to always hike within your ability in order to be able to keep up with the group.

Food (lunch/snacks) and water
Proper hiking boots
Clothes for varying weather conditions
Plastic bag for dirty boots for the drive home

DIRECTIONS FROM CARPOOL: follow Highway 8 west out of town. Hit the roundabout at Highway 22 and head south towards Bragg Creek. Before the stop sign at Bragg and before the Shell gas station, turn right into Balsam Ave. Go pass the mall on your left and at the bridge, turn left at the T junction. Continue for approx. 10 km till the end of the road and you'll reach West Bragg Creek /picnic area/parking lot. Park on the far end of the parking lot.
