Hike Description
Our prime destination for today will be the two jeweled coloured Skoki Lakes, both Zigadenus & Myosotis Lakes, as can be seen in the promo photo above taken from Packers Peak. Yet, there will be many prime sights to see along the way such as the Halfway Hut, Boulder Pass, Ptarmigan Lake and all the surrounding peaks. Our route will take us along the shore of Ptarmigan Lake a short distance where we will then begin ascending to Packers Pass. Packers Peak is only another 100 meters gain or 15 to 20 minutes above the Pass. It is a gentle slope and straight forward. The Peak is on the small side and a bit rugged. We will invest a short amount of time here then descend off trail to Zigadenus Lake for our lunch break. Before beginning the close to 200 meter ascent back to Packers Pass, we will pay a visit to Myosotis Lake. Once back at Packers Pass we may or may not veer off trail to get back down to Ptarmigan Lake. If we do it will add another 70 or so meters of gain and less than a kilometer of distance.
