Ha Ling has just re-opened after being rebuilt, it will probably be slightly easier than it was (maybe its a D4 now). Pace will be slow, but this does have a lot of elevation gain, and used to be an easy scramble at the top (we will find out if the re-build has removed the scrambly bits). We will park our cars at the base of Ha Ling Peak and east end of Rundle. The first part of the trail is in the trees prior to reaching the scree slopes.

Ha Ling Peak is the impressive pinnacle that rises above Canmore to the southwest. The trail winds up the backside of the mountain & ends up with stunning views across the Bow Valley.
This event is geared to experienced hikers who are used to a lot of elevation gain in a very short distance. We will be going at a slow pace.
