Priority: Priority may be given to drivers. If I do not get enough drivers, you may be placed on the wait list.

You must be willing to stick together as a group.
Possible snow, muddy and icy sections.
Do not be in a rush to get back to Calgary. We will be out to enjoy the day and event duration/return to Calgary may vary.

Description:
This hike follows multi-use trails in West Bragg Creek area, so we may encounter the occasional mountain bike. You will find this hike surprisingly nice, with some great viewpoints toward snow-capped peaks of Rockies and walking gentle, forested ridges. We will be hiking Ranger Summit / Strange Brew / Boundary Ridge loop with side trip to the first panoramic viewpoint on Ranger Summit.

If you're not sure about a hike, feel free to contact the coordinator and remember to always hike within your ability in order to be able to keep up with the group.

suitable footwear (may be wet and slippery)
clothes for varying autumn weather conditions
plastic bag for dirty boots for the drive home.

DIRECTIONS FROM CARPOOL: follow Highway 8 west out of town. Hit the roundabout at Highway 22 and head south towards Bragg Creek. Before the stop sign at Bragg and before the Shell gas station, turn right into Balsam Ave. Go pass the mall on your left and at the bridge, turn left at the T junction. Continue for approx. 10 km till the end of the road and you'll reach West Bragg Creek /picnic area/parking lot. Park on the far end of the parking lot.

Note that drivers with large vehicles have the option to adjust this cost based on their vehicles. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual amount among all people in the vehicle and bring some change as drivers are not expected to carry change.
