Itinerary:
Starting at the Pocaterra Hut, we will ski the Pocaterra trail as far as we can for 2.5 hours (heading towards Elk Pass). Then we ski back on the same path to the hut. No loops or alternate trails will be allowed. That way everyone can go at their own comfortable pace and no one gets lost. I will ski at a fairly slow pace, others may ski at whatever pace they are comfortable with, the only requirement is to get back to the hut by 2:30 pm. After a late lunch in the hut we will start drive back to town about 3:30 pm.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Take Hwy 1 west out of town to Hwy 40. Go south on Hwy 40 for approx 56km. Turn right just before the winter gate. The Pocaterra Hut is just by the Smith Dorrien Junction.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $72.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Friday, March 29, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.
