The Douglas Fir Trail traverses the
escarpment above the Bow River, east of
Edworthy Park. This is a short but
strenuous trail run (or walk) with lots of
ups and downs via stairs. We
will run (or for those of who wish to walk) at a moderately brisk
pace. If you prefer to walk, please check
with the coordinator if there are any
sign-ups who prefer to walk, or make sure
you have a walking partner if you do not
wish to walk alone.
|How to Get There:|
|Event Directions:||South Access: Drive west on Spruce
Drive and turn right (north) down the
road into Edworthy Park.|
North Access: Park in the lot where Shaganappi Trail ends at Bowness Road NW. Walk over the pedestrian bridge, left through the park and cross the railway tracks.
Transit: Bus routes #1 and #40 stop within a couple of blocks of the north parking area.
Please advise the coordinator on sign-up
if you prefer to run the trail or walk.
