Have you read and understood the current restrictions that are club policy during the COVID-19 situation? These can be found on the Home page of the COC website.

Please answer these questions in the comments or medical section during the sign up process, in addition to signing the waiver. Your coordinator has been instructed to remove you from the event if you do not answer or comply with these questions. Failure to follow the guidelines could result in you being evicted from the event even after it has commenced. Your coordinator has this discretion and you could be reported to the club if you create problems. The COC is attempting to keep all members safe and asks for your respect during these difficult times. If you do not wish to follow these temporary restrictions you should not sign up but are welcome to continue after the restrictions have been removed.

Distance: 17-18 km round trip (per AllTrails)
Elevation gain: 1,060m

The hike begins along the Skogan Pass Trail, which ascends gradually for 3 to 4 kms. The cairn is our signal to turn and carry on another 1- 2 kms aiming for the "Living with Wildlife" sign. Now it's time to attack the steeper sections where the scenery opens up and we will have a clear view of our destination. Make it to that destination then enjoy x-large views. Before calling it a day on the main summit, let's head off to the lower summit. We'll retrace our steps a few hundred meters then ascend approximately 70 meters over a steep, loose rocky section. Within 15 -20 minutes, we will arrive at a wide-open flat meadow with a glorious view. This summit sports a solar-powered telemetry station. We will descend off this second summit via the southeast ridge then reconnect with the Skogan Pass Trail then follow it back to the trail head.

Important Details
This event is for hikers who have recently completed some events with similar distance, elevation and pace.
Only sign up if you are willing to stick together and hike as a group and take time to enjoy the views.
