Have you travelled in the
last 14 days? Are you showing any symptoms,
been
in contact with a confirmed case, or been
tested
positive at all? Have you read and understood
the
current restrictions that are club policy
during
the COVID-19 situation? Please answer these questions in the comments or medical section during the sign up process, in addition to signing the waiver. Your coordinator has been instructed to remove you from the event if you do not answer or comply with these questions. Failure to follow the guidelines could result in you being evicted from the event even after it has commenced. Your coordinator has this discretion and you could be reported to the club if you create problems. The COC is attempting to keep all members safe and asks for your respect during these difficult times. If you do not wish to follow these temporary restrictions you should not sign up but are welcome to continue after the restrictions have been removed. Distance: ~ 15 km Elevation Gain: (net) ~100 m Terrace Trail is an easy, undulating trail that follows the terraces of Kananaskis River, from Kananaskis Village to the Galatea Creek trail. The trail affords some great views of Fisher Peak and K Country Golf Course. We will be hiking at a moderate pace. Once we reach the Galatea Creek trail, we will cross the river and find a nice spot for lunch before heading back the way we came. Note that there might be a creek crossing, although it should be fairly low at this time of year.
| |||||||
How to Get There: | |||||||
Event Directions: | Take Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) to Highway 40. Note that there is construction on the bridge over Hwy 1 so allow some time to get through that. Follow Highway 40 south to the turnoff to Kananaskis Village (Mt. Allen Drive). Turn right off Hwy 40, then left onto Centennial Drive, following signs to Kananaskis Village. Turn right onto Terrace Drive and park in the parking lot behind Woody's Pub. We will meet close to the open field right beside the lot.
Notes: | |||||||
Carpooling is not permitted. Have you read and understood the COVID-19 protocols in red in the event description?
