COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS: Participation in this event is conditional upon attendee compliance with government restrictions currently in place. If you have COVID-19, or may have COVID-19 due to a recent exposure, you are expected to withdraw from this event and stay home. We will be more than happy to see you at another event once it is considered safe for you to do so! Failure to comply with these protocols may result in removal from this event and/or future events.

CARPOOL: Note that for Stages 1 and 2, carpooling is allowed, but only for attendees who arrange it for themselves. Those of you who wish to carpool are free to organize yourselves. The club will resume "normal" carpooling in Stage 3.

I am back and posting this event for those who will be participating in the hike as well as the apre-hike BBQ. The pace will be moderate or at your own pace with a 2.25 hr time limit so we can enjoy the apre- hike BBQ.

Distance: 6.6km round trip
Elevation gain: 715m

You will be hiking at your own pace but will need to turn around and head back down regardless of your position after 70-75 minutes. That will allow you 60-65 minutes to come down from the turnaround point. We would like everyone to meet back at the event parking lot by 8:15pm to participate in the BBQ. A headlamp is required and should always be in your pack as you never know what may happen in the mountains.

Note this hike is NOT suitable for beginners or folks who are not completely familiar with this hike as we will hike at a brisk or fast pace and you will possibly be hiking on your own as the group may split depending on your individual pace. We will begin our ascent at 6:00 pm sharp so please plan to be there at least 10 minutes beforehand. We will all meet at the trailhead/parking area as a group at the end of the hike for the BBQ. Please do no sign up if you are not intending to participate in the apre-hike BBQ as sign-ups will be assigned items to bring.

Note this hike is NOT suitable for beginners as it is a steep strenuous hike up and down.
