Distance: 13.4 km round trip
Elevation Gain: 775 m

The trail winds and switchbacks steadily upwards through forest with few opportunities to catch your breath. The tree cover doesn't allow for many viewpoints along the way but the summit boasts a full panorama of prairie, foothills, and (possibly) snowy peaks!

The pace will be slow and steady, with regular water breaks. Note that this hike does have over 700m of ascent so a reasonable level of fitness is required - this is not a beginner or season starter hike. Faster hikers are welcome but will be expected to stay with the group. Expect to share the trail with many other hikers, bikes and possibly horses.
