VENUE IS ONLINE - GOOGLE MEET (no special software or account required). Link will be sent out prior to the meeting

This serves as notice of the 2021 Calgary Outdoor Club Annual General Meeting.

We have the basement meeting room at the Joyce on 4th booked in case we can have the AGM in person. Our conservative plan is to have the AGM virtually, but if possible, we will go to the Joyce instead. We will choose the venue by end of September based on registrations/responses. Note that it is NOT possible for us to provide a "combined" venue, with some people attending at the Joyce, and some people attending virtually.

When you sign up, please indicate your preference for venue:

  • Joyce Only: You will come if the meeting is in-person, but you would not attend a virtual meeting
  • Virtual Only: You will attend if the meeting is virtual, but you would not attend an in-person meeting at the Joyce
  • Either: You will attend at the Joyce or virtually - it doesn't matter

We are currently seeking self nominations from anybody interested in running for a position on the Board of Directors. All positions are accepting nominations, including President, Vice President, Director(s), Treasurer, and Secretary. You can read more about these roles here. If you are interested in joining the Board of Directors, please send an e-mail to the Nominating Committee, c/o exec@calgaryoutdoorclub.com or alternatively, submit your name in person for a position at the AGM.

Quick Refresher:
· 3.4.2 - Voting Members - Only Volunteer and Active Members in good standing can vote at General Meetings of the Society.
· 4.1.5 - Quorum - Personal attendance by 15 Voting Members at the Annual General Meeting constitutes a quorum.

YOU NEED TO BE AN ACTIVE MEMBER, A VOLUNTEER, OR A NON-EXPIRED PREMIER (Grandfathered in from previous bylaws) TO VOTE AT THE AGM.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:
  1. Virtual: If the AGM is held virtually, we will use Google Meet. There is no software that you need to download, nor account to set up in order to attend. You will be provided with a link, and you click on the link, and voila!
  2. Joyce on 4th: 506 24 Ave SW. We will be in the meeting room in the basement, which has a capacity of approximately 50.

COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS: Participation in this event is conditional upon attendee compliance with the following restrictions: If you have COVID-19, COVID-19- like symptoms, or may have COVID-19 due to a recent exposure, you are expected to withdraw from this event and stay home. We will be more than happy to see you at another event once it is considered safe for you to do so! Failure to comply with this requirement may result in removal from this event and/or future events.
