Itinerary:
Distance: 13.8km round trip
Elevation: 865m gain

We will begin by following the Elk Pass trail through a network of intertwining trails crossing over Fox Creek. From here we will take a short spur towards Fox Lake and from there complete the remaining 1.3km to Frozen Lake. This portion will comprise most of the elevation gain listed above (257m over 1.3km). While this portion is steep and will take approx 45 mins to climb, it should be worth it to see Frozen Lake. Gripped in a spectacular cirque on the northeast face of Mt. Fox, the lake is shaded from afternoon sun and offers a beautiful vista. If time allows and the group is conducive, we can add a quick 1km one-way to visit Fox Lake on the way out.
