Itinerary:
Note that COC event coordinators are volunteers and are not trained guides. All participants are responsible for assessing the current road conditions, current weather conditions, current trail conditions for the trip.

Distance: 12.5km loop
Elevation Gain: 486 m
Pace: Relaxed
This trail climbs & swoops through a beautiful foothills setting where one can reach satisfying viewpoints that provide vistas of the Elbow Valley & Moose Mountain. There will be some steep parts so be prepared for a workout. Trail may be muddy in sections.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:NOTE: As of June 1st, you will need a Kananaskis Conservation Pass to attend this event. Please see the Alberta Parks website for more information: Kananaskis Conservation Pass.
Coming from the North: follow the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) to the Highway 22 overpass, follow Highway 22 through Bragg Creek to the Highway 66 Junction, turn right and follow Highway 66 to the Station Flats parking area.
From the South: connect onto Highway 66 and follow the directions to Elbow Falls until you reach the Station Flats parking lot.
The parking lot is on the right hand side of the road 1.5 km past Allen Bill. Note this is not the first parking lot at Allen Bill, but the next one 1.5 km on the right.

Notes:

COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS: Participation in this event is conditional upon attendee compliance with the following restrictions: If you have COVID-19, COVID-19- like symptoms, or may have COVID-19 due to a recent exposure, you are expected to withdraw from this event and stay home. We will be more than happy to see you at another event once it is considered safe for you to do so! Failure to comply with this requirement may result in removal from this event and/or future events.

CARPOOL: The Province of Alberta is in Stage 3 and has removed COVID-19 restrictions. The COC now allows traditional carpooling, however, it is left up to the discretion of: (1) the coordinator whether to include carpool on their events, and (2) drivers whether to take carpool passengers on an event. The coordinator of this trip will not be organizing a carpool but you are welcome to make your own arrangments with other attendees.
