Itinerary:
This event is aimed at beginner-novice classic XC skiers and those skiers who are more experienced but need / prefer flat terrain and a slower pace (2 - 3 km / hr)

This is will be a friendly trip and questions are welcome! If you are brand-new to XC skiing, please be sure you know how to put on and take off your skis, and consider practicing a little around your backyard or local park to get the hang of moving before coming out. :)

We will be parking at the Evan-Thomas day-use parking lot (with outhouses!) on Hwy 40. From there, we will walk across the highway and jump onto the Bill Milne trail and do 45 - 60 minutes of skiing (with breaks) before returning the way we came. Note that finding trail conditions at the moment is difficult and it's quite likely we may be setting our own tracks or using less-than perfect tracks.

If you need rentals, be sure to pick them up ahead of time. Sports Rent opens at 6AM. University of Calgary Outdoor Centre opens at 8AM.
