Distance: ~12km Elevation Gain: 268m This loop begins at Elbow Falls. We'll take a clockwise approach to it, hiking Powderface Creek trail to the junction with Prairie Link trail (3.3km), over Prairie Link trail to Prairie Creek (3.2km), then out Prairie Creek trail back to the parking lot (5.6km). The route has sections of mixed deciduous/coniferous forests, lodgepole pine stands, open meadows, and riverside hiking. Snow shoes required. | |||||||

Event Directions: | ![]() | From Calgary, take Hwy 22 south to Bragg Creek.
At the traffic lights turn left and proceed South
2km to Highway 66. At the T-junction turn right
and
proceed West into Kananaskis Country to Elbow
Falls
parking lot, where we'll meet. There is no carpool organized for this trip. If you need transportation, contact me and I can try to coordinate a ride with other participants for you. | ![]() | ||||
