Come out on a hike with great views and cake. :) We are headed to the Plain of Six Glaciers Tea House for refreshments with a view and for those who want a bit more mileage and a closer view of the glaciers, a 1 hour round trip extension walk while others enjoy a longer lunch at the tea house.

We will catch the 8 a.m. shuttle bus to the lake and begin our hike by heading up to the Highline Route (turning off at Mirror Lake). This gets much of the climbing out of the way first, offers great views on the way out and helps us beat the crowds at the lakeshore. We'll arrive for 'tea' late morning / noon, where you will be welcome to eat the food you brought or purchase some of the treats made on site at the tea house (I'll send you the menu before we go).

Tickets for the shuttle have been pre- purchased by your coordinator. Please plan to e-transfer the funds upon your registration to secure your spot. If I don't hear from you within 48 hours, I'll move you to a waitlist.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $91.80 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Thursday, May 23, 2024). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.

If you are unable to drive to the carpool, contact the coordinator and I see if you are able to carpool from the city with another member.
