Itinerary:
Elevation:890 metres
Approximate distance: 11 kms round trip at a steady pace with a couple short breaks.
Proper hiking shoes/boots required. This is a fairly strenuous event and is somewhat harder than Ha Ling Peak but is described as an easy scramble with one moderate (3 meter) step/wall that you will need to climb on the northwest ridge.

Trail Directions: Easy 1km approach from trailhead to the base of the ridge.
Follow path as it climbs rapidly to the right side of the heart shape.
Two thirds up, scramble up 3m high wall identified by blue metal markers.
From first summit continue on to second summit.
Continue northeast along rounded ridge.
Reach additional high points along ridge.
Descent into mature forest towards the highway.
Take Quaite Valley Trail back to trailhead.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Head west on Hwy 1 (Trans Canada). Take the Lac des Arcs exit (Exit 105), and go over the overpass to the south side of the highway. Just before the loop meets eastbound Hwy 1, turn left into Heart Creek Day Use area.

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $48.00 (calculated at total Km * $0.32, effective Tuesday, March 25, 2025).
