Distance: 13.4 km round trip Elevation Gain: 775 m The trail winds and switchbacks steadily upwards through forest with few opportunities to catch your breath. The tree cover doesn't allow for many viewpoints along the way but the summit boasts a full panorama of prairie, foothills, and (possibly... but not likely this year) snowy peaks!

Follow the Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) west and take the Highway 68 exit. (Note: the road will turn to gravel once you enter the park and the old paved sections that follow have large potholes, so add some extra driving time to whatever Google suggests.) Pass by the Jumping Pound Demonstration forest and the Sibbald Lake Camping area on the right. Turn left shortly after, onto the Powderface Trail. The parking lot is the Dawson Equestrian lot and it will be on your left. | ![]() | ||||
