Join us for a group backpack (8 campers / 4 sites) to 3 Isle Lake backcountry campground in Kananaskis. This trip is suitable for novice / intermediate + backpackers who are strong hikers. You don't need to be an expert, but you do need to be reasonably self-sufficient.

We'll hike in together and plan to meet up again to eat together at mealtimes. There will be plenty of opportunities for some alone / down time, but it is intended to be a group trip. If you do not enjoy group activities or are unwilling to share a tent with someone you don't know, this trip is not a good fit for you.

We'll leave from the Upper Interlakes Parking area and hike out towards the Forks campground where we will stop for lunch before making our way up to 3 Isle Lake. There we will stay 2 nights, with an opportunity to do a day hike to South Kananaskis Pass and Beatty Lake on the second day if the weather is cooperating.

Interested but you don't have all the equipment? I will try to match people so the shared gear is covered. You can also check out the UofCOutdoorCentre for gear rentals.

I can also provide a packing list for anyone who wants one too.

**********************

Facilities at the campground:
* Tent pads
* Outhouses
* Cook area (tables) and food lockers
* Lake / stream for water
NO FIRES

You'll be signing up onto the waitlist and will be added from there in the order you've signed up, allowing for tent pairing and driving needs of those who signed up ahead of you (Gear is not a factor). Camp fees are due by e-transfer once you are added to the trip. If no communication / transfer has been made in 24 hours, you'll be moved back onto the waitlist. Once the spots are filled, we will organize tents and tentmates (we are sharing tents / tent pads).

Please include the following in your "Notes" to help me match tentmates:
* Do you have a backpacking tent?
* Do you have a backpacking stove?
* Do you prefer to share a tent with a Male, Female or no preference? (2 per tent / pad)
