Itinerary: | |||||||
Due the early season conditions, this trip is best suited for intermediate skiers and boarders who are comfortable on blue terrain (or steeper) and can safely navigate natural features. There are green runs open, but due to coverage issues and crowds funneling onto limited open areas, this trip is not suited to those who aren't able to navigate quickly around rocks, trees or people. If you have rock skis or a rock board, bring it. Hopefully we'll get a good dump between the time I post and the day we go! We will try stay together as a group to start and then if there is a range of abilities, we will divide up into level / speed groups, meeting later for lunch / warm up breaks that we set up before splitting. This is meant to be a fun and relaxed way to kick off the holidays. Expect to wait for the group (and lifts) and feel free to take breaks when needed. If you are a speedy run-counter, this may not be a good fit and you are welcome to come out later in the season when the whole hill is open and patience is less of an issue. We'll meet in one of the open tents for lunch (you are welcome to purchase something, but your coordinator will be bringing one) and everyone should plan to meet with their carpool at 4 p.m. at the bottom of the Gondola at the Creekside cafe or upstairs by the washrooms (you vehicle can decide). ********************** Ticket costs at the time of posting (I'll update closer to our event): Adult ticket at the window: $179 + GST Adult mobile tickets: $144 + GST Adult lift ticket at AMA: $124 + GST (Sold in 1s) Senior (65+) mobile tickets: $99 + GST Sunshine card: $119 (mobile) + GST (pays for your 1st, 4th, 7th day, and $30 discounts on weekends / $50 weekdays ($124 at AMA until Dec. 31st) Costco often has tickets in 2s or 3s for the same price as AMA and there are savings to be had if you buy the 2 or 3 day mobile pass from Sunshine Village - check their website for pricing. | |||||||
