This is a good beginner event to enjoy close to the city.
On this trip we'll explore some of the trails north of the parking lot. We'll piece together a route starting with Snowshoe Hare, then hike to Telephone Loop, join up with Disconnect, and return on Long Distance.

- snowshoes, poles
- water and snacks
- good trail footwear
- additional winter layers as needed
- Kananaskis Conservation Pass

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

Follow Highway 8 west out of town. At the Highway 22 roundabout head south towards Bragg Creek. Take the first turn into Bragg Creek, ahead of the traffic lights. You are on Balsam Avenue. Drive past the Esso Station and the malls, cross the bridge, and turn left at the the T junction. Continue for approx. 10 km till the end of the road and you'll reach West Bragg Creek parking lot. Park at the northeast end of the parking lot. We will meet at the trail sign at the bottom of the hill heading up telephone loop.

Notes:

There is no carpool for this event. I will have room for a couple people in my vehicle if you would like to meet at the Canyon Meadows C-Train Station. Please let me know if you need a ride.
