Itinerary:
Come enjoy a Sunday XC ski in the mountains. The plan is to do a 10km tear-drop loop described below, beginning at the Peter Lougheed Visitor Centre (aka Peter Lougheed Park Discovery & Information Centre).

Should the snow / track conditions deteriorate in the weeks between posting and skiing, we may switch the route to a 10 - 12 km loop beginning at Elk Pass. Your coordinator will check the snow / grooming report a few days before to confirm the plan. Hopefully the small snow showers forecast in the coming weeks will freshen up the trails and give us some great late winter skiing!

This event is best suited for novice- intermediate and relaxed (slower or patient) advanced skiers. The pace will be about 3 - 4 km / hr with a 30ish min stop in the middle. You need to be comfortable climbing and snowplowing moderate hills to complete our planned route.

We will do a 10 km loop that includes some blue hills to climb and descend and a stop for snacks / lunch at the covered 'amphitheatre' in the campground area (at about the 2 hour mark). Trails will include: Meadow- Woolley-Amos(around Marl Lake) and returning by Meadow. PLPP Trail Map
