Distance : Total 15.5km loop
Total elevation gain : approximately 100 metres
Pace : Moderate.

We will park at the Upper Lake Day Use parking lot and circle the lake clockwise. At a moderately brisk pace, I anticipate we’ll be back at the parking lot at aoround 3:30pm

How to Get There:

Event Directions:

Take the Trans Canada Highway west from Calgary for approximately 70 km, then turn south on Highway 40 for approximately 50 km. Turn right onto Kananaskis Lakes Trail and follow the signs to the Upper Lake parking lots. Park in the lot on your left hand side. I’ll be in the Blue Toyota Yaris.

Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $67.20 (calculated at total Km * $0.32, effective Friday, April 18, 2025). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.
