The Lineham Ridge hike in Kananaskis is a beautiful trail that opens up above the treeline. It has quite the steady elevation gain, but the views are always worth it on this trail. This is an intermediate trail that requires some stamina.

This trail leaves from the Lineham Provincial Recreation day-use area. Make your way up the main trail from the parking area for 1.7 km before reaching a junction. Take the left trail for Lineham Ridge and begin gaining more elevation. The trail continues to rise and views grow as you make your way up the ridge. We will stop for lunch at the summit (if it is not too windy). This is an out and back hike so we will return the way we came.
