PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED:Once you've reviewed the event details, and decided you'd like to join us, you MUST sign up at the bottom of this page.You will then make your payment for this event at the venue, NOT in advance to the COC.

Itinerary:
We will be taking a full day (~5hrs) group lesson offered by Julie Walker formerly from the Norseman Ski School, but now with her own company 'Full Circle Adventures'. This lesson is for beginner skiers and low intermediate who'd like to get some tips and improve their technique. In the morning the focus will be on refinement of flat terrain technique and the afternoon there will be an emphasis on hill techniques.

Once completed, please send me an email, and you'll be moved from the waiting list to the event.

- Rentals are available at the Norseman Ski Shop - if needing, please pick up ahead of time - not on the day.
Rental XC-Ski packages prices: - Beginners XC-Ski package for 1 day (24 hours) - $21.00 + GST - Demo (advance) XC-Ski package for 1 day (24 hours) - $25.00 + GST No booking—first come, first served! Please note:
- We need a minimum of 4 people to have this event a go.


Required Items to Bring:
- Your cheerfulness & great attitude
- Skis, ski boots, poles, wax
- Water (1 - 2 litres)
- Dress in non-cotton layers
- Snacks and lunch
- Toque, gloves/mitts, neck warmer

How to Get There:
Event Directions:To Pocaterra Hut: Take Hwy 1 west out of town. Go south on Hwy 40 for approx 56km. Turn right onto the Kananaskis Lakes Trail just before the winter gate. As you are driving on Kananaskis Lakes Trail, keep an eye out for the sign for Pocaterra Hut which will be on your left and park in the lot (FYI - directly to your right will be the turn-on for the Smith Dorrien / Spray Lakes Road - if you pass this you will have gone too far).

Carpool Cost: Approximate vehicle expense for this event is $70.50 (calculated at total Km * $0.30, effective Friday, December 5, 2025). This is based on $0.16/Km for maintenance, plus current gas price divide by 9. Alternately your carpool driver may choose to split the maintenance cost plus the actual gas cost among all in the vehicle. Your carpool driver will confirm exactly how much money they require to cover costs. Please split the actual cost among all people in the vehicle.
