Note: Your coordinator has not done this hike before, so in addition to your micro-spikes, please pack your patience and sense of adventure for this one! :D

We start on a wide snow-packed trail for about 2km and then it narrows down through the forest and along the creek bed. There are a couple creek crossings, one on a snow covered bridge and one where you have to either jump a short distance or step on a rock. The first waterfall you will see is Chantilly Falls and then another 0.7 km is the second waterfall, Moonlight Falls. Our next landmark will be the mouth of the canyon. It is here where the trail becomes narrow and steep. This is where the chain and rope section of the hike is. It is not very difficult but you will have to watch your footing. There is a rope to assist you getting down a steep section that leads to the base of the Green Monster Waterfall.

We can stop at the Green Monster for lunch or we can hike back to a sunnier spot. After lunch, we will hike back the way we came in to the parking lot.
