Distance: Approx 6-8 km Elevation: negligible Nose Hill Park is one of the largest urban parks in Canada, located in the NW quadrant of Calgary. The unique prairie grassland includes rugged hilly terrain and a variety of paths and trails. We will start the hike around sunset so we can watch the sun dip below the horizon and the full moon rise. If the sky is overcast, we might still have some distant views of the mountains and the city skyline. And even if weather hinders all views, this is still a nice walk in the park :-D
Please come prepared for a variety of conditions including snow, ice, mud, and cold winds. The temperature can drop considerably once the sun sets, and it is often quite windy at Nose Hill.
You are welcome to bring your dog if they are used to walking with a group and can respect the personal space of other dogs and people. Please make sure you have a light on your dog's collar so we can see them too.
