| Distance: approx 8km Elevation gain: approx 400m
Note: This event is
designated a D5 due to
the challenging nature of being off trail, route
navigation, rapid
elevation gain and deep snow. This event requires
a strong fitness level and intermediate to strong
snowshoe skills. A
8km, 400m snowshoe is more challenging than a
summer hike of
the same size.
Once we reach the top of Blueberry Hill we'll have a tremendous view of Mount Fox to the south, the Elk Range to the east, and the Kananaskis Lakes to the north. We'll return the way we came up. | |||||||
