Itinerary:
Distance: ~17-18 km round trip
Elevation gain: ~1000-1110m
Pace: Moderate

NOTE: The coordinator has not done this trail. Please allow time and patience for route finding.

We'll start by following the Skogan Pass Trail (very visible electrical power line right of way) for approx 4 km. A cairn will mark where to turn left and carry on another 1 to 2 km to another trail on the left marked by a "Living with Wildlife" sign. Now it's time to attack the steeper sections where the scenery opens up and we will have a clear view of our destination, the summit of Pigeon Mountain. Before calling it a day on the main summit, we'll head off to the lower summit. We'll retrace our steps a few hundred meters then ascend approximately 70 meters over a steep, loose rocky section. Within 15 -20 minutes, we will arrive at a wide-open flat meadow with a glorious view. We will descend off this second summit via the southeast ridge then reconnect with the Skogan Pass Trail and follow it back to the trail head.
