The smoke forecast indicates that most of the smoke should clear out by tomorrow night. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
And the temperatures should be a little more reasonable forecasted in the mid 20's.
Please note the early carpool departure time of 6am to hopefully avoid most of the crowds on the trail.

It’s wildflower season and Healy Pass is calling! This area is known for putting on quite a colorful display at this time of year and for that reason the hike is rated as "outstanding" by the Copelands in their book "Don't Waste Your Time in the Canadian Rockies." Be prepared for sensory overload!.

***There will be an option to head up to the Healy Pass Ridgecrest which lies about a km away from the pass with about a 150m gain***.

Head west on Hwy 1 and continue past Banff. 2km after the second Banff turnoff, take the Sunshine Village exit and follow the Sunshine Village Road 9 km to the parking lot at the base of the gondola lift
