Distance: 6.2 km round trip Elevation Gain: 46 m Route: Counter-clockwise loop

From the Weaselhead Natural Area Parking, we will follow a 6.2 km counter-clockwise loop through Weaselhead Flats. Our route will take us along the Elbow River, through the river channels and wetland areas, and along a combination of natural trails and regional pathways. The route is mostly unpaved, with approximately 30% paved pathway.

There are a number of short hills along the route, with some steeper sections. We will hike at a relaxed to moderate pace, regrouping as needed along the way.

Tracking devices (microspikes or similar),warm clothes, water, snack

Backpack (for your clothes, spikes, food)...you should have the hands free on the descents! Poles

South on Crowchild, cross Glenmore trail. Turn right onto 66 Ave SW. At 4-way-stop at 37 St. SW go straight into parking lot.
