Itinerary:

CALGARY SPACE WORKERS SOCIETY presentation at this meeting: "INFLATABLE SPACE HABITAT: How it can be done and how it is already being done" presented by Michael Bakk

Inflatable space environments have been studied by NASA and Commercial Space Entrepreneurs. This presentation will explain in an easy to understand method what is being done at this moment and as a result of several years of research and development. We will discuss many other developments that had lead us to what is being done for today. Bigelow Aerospace is the leading private company for space habitat destinations. They launched an experimental habitat last year and plan to soon launch the first hotel in space.

I (Marg) have attended the previous two presentations by the Calgary Space Workers Society and found them interesting. I've learned a lot about global warming, Helium 3 as an alternative energy source (which is abundant on the moon), and living and working in space. I will be attending this event and am signed up on the CCC website. I'll wait outside the main doors until 8:55 in order to direct people to the meeting area. If the registration is full here you can try registering on the CALGARY CULTURE CLUB website. Please register only once.

Free to the general public but a donation of $2.00 per person would be appreciated, this presentation is ideal for ages 10 and up. Presentation lasts about 2 hours. Parking is available at the rear of the building at Tower Aerospace Inc.
