This is a new easy snow shoe trail created near Burstall Pass. Beginners welcome! If you have never snowshoed before, this is the perfect outing for you! It is short and easy, and we're in no rush to get to the end of the trail.

Ref: GemTrek's Kananaskis Lakes map
Distance: ~5km
Elevation Gain: negligible
We will stop for an early lunch at Pocaterra Hut on the way in.

Note that this event requires driving several kilometers up the Smith-Dorrien Road, which is a gravel road, and can be icy/treacherous, especially if your vehicle is not appropriate for winter conditions, or if you are not an experienced winter driver. Obviously we need drivers to make this event happen, but please indicate that you're willing to drive ONLY if you and your vehicle are appropriate for some more difficult winter conditions than regular highway driving. In case there are not enough drivers, those unable to drive will be moved to the wait list, in order of last signed-up, and moved back on as drivers are available. Please let me know how many passengers you can take when you register. Many Thanks!
