Amy Barnett, our guest speaker, is a kinesiologist-gait analysis specialist from Stride Evolutions which is located within the Chiropractic Performance & Sports Therapy Centre. More and more of us are joining in outdoor/indoor activities for added health benefits such as increased metabolism (energy), reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases, strokes and reduced body fat, to name a few. Amy will be providing us with an insight to injury risks in some of these activities that we participate in. The repetitive nature of some of the activities does put those with inefficient movement patterns in danger of an overuse injury. This is why it's important to implement proper technique and use proper footwear when exercising. So come on out to this informative and casual evening. Don't be shy, come with your questions. | |||||
