Itinerary:
Camping and hiking in the Waterton area:

Camp at Belly River group camp.

The Group Camp is TENTING ONLY. If you wish to bring a camper, trailer, RV, you should sign up for the BYOA event. There are single sites available near the group camp and you can walk over to hang out with us. If you wish to stay at a hotel or hostel in town, or at a different campground, please register for the BYOA event.

Grab your books and maps and let's head down to Waterton. There are tons of great hikes/scrambles in the area. Expect to be self-sufficient for the trip - nothing official will be planned. I will bring a bunch of blank "sign-up sheets" that we'll tack to the wall in the cookhouse building. If you have an idea/activity you want to do, tack it to the wall so others can sign up to join you. To initiate and/or participate in discussions about what you want to do before the event, please post in the forum topic.

Please: when you register, indicate when you want to leave Calgary and when you want to return to Calgary. If you're able to drive, indicate how many passengers PLUS GEAR you can take. I will hook you up for carpooling a few days before to the best of my ability (depending on everyone's preferences). If you can arrange your own carpool / transportation, please select MEET AT EVENT (if you originally sign up for carpool and then change your mind, please update your registration by going to "My Events" on the left nav). Please expect to either DRIVE to the event, or ARRANGE YOUR EXPECTATIONS according to the driver you're riding with.

Park Pass: If no one in your vehicle has a group park pass, you will have to stop at the Waterton gate on your way to the campground and purchase one for the weekend.

Waiting List: There is lots of room for anyone who wants to come to come. If you put your name on the waiting list, please send your payment in right away and you will be added to the attendee list and included in carpool arrangements. Also, if you want to carpool, you MUST indicate the following in the notes (I can't include you in carpool plans otherwise):
1) What day/time you would like to leave Calgary
2) What day/time you would like to return to Calgary
3) What area of the city you're in
4) If you've indicated that you can drive, please be sure to indicate how many passengers plus camping gear you can transport
Please put this information in your registration notes - do NOT e-mail me with it... I'm not organized enough to keep track of what people tell me in a million different places - use the web site please!
